ICS & SAGT Partnership Agreement for Annual Awards Ceremony from 2026 - 2028

Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers (UK), Sri Lanka branch entered into a three-year partnership with South Asia Gateway Terminals (Pvt) Ltd, (SAGT) to be the exclusive Platinum Sponsor at the Annual Awards Ceremony from the year 2026 to 2028.

The agreement was signed by Mr. Lalith Witanachchi, Chairman ICS SL branch and Mr. Romesh David, Chief Executive Officer, SAGT. The agreement was exchanged by both parties on 9th October 2025 at SAGT office.

In addition to the partnership at the Annual Awards Ceremony, SAGT would conduct a mentorship program for the best two students from each examination batch. SAGT would also facilitate a visit their terminal for the students from Foundation program, in order for the students to gather first hand information on terminal operation, thus gaining the Terminal Partner status.

ICS SL had been having a partnership with SAGT from 2015 onwards, who was the Corporate Partner. ICS SL is looking forward leveraging on the above synergy with SAGT for other events and project.
