Sri Lanka Branch - An Evening to Honour Ex-Harbour Master of Colombo

In honour of and to recognize the close co-operation Capt. Nirmal Silva (former Sr Harbour Master in Colombo) had with the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers Sri Lanka branch, the Executive Committee hosted Capt. Nirmal Silva for an evening of fellowship.

Chairman of the Sri Lanka branch delivered the welcome address and thanked Capt Silva for being part of the ICS family and a person always willing to assist whenever needed.

Capt. Silva said in return thanked the ICS Sri Lanka branch for inviting him for all the ICS event and he enjoyed being part of it. He said he was merely doing his job and it was his nature to extend a helping hand when required whether it was in sea or on-shore.

To commemorate the evening, a plaque of the ICS Shield was presented to him. Current Harbour Master Capt. Lakshi Siwrathne also attended the event.
