Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers open evening

Posted on Tuesday, November 17, 2015

The Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers hosted an open evening in London, Chennai, Dubai, Hong Kong and Limassol on Wednesday 14th October 2015 for potential students who were considering taking the Institute's courses and exams. The open evening was not only a great opportunity for prospective students to find out more about the courses on offer and entry requirements but they also had the chance to meet local tutors and other students and learn more about what the Institute offers.

For those who were not able to attend, the Institute hosted a live online chat during the whole course of the day, whereby students from all over the world logged in and directed their queries to the Institute's education team.

The Institute currently has 5,000 students across all three levels of qualification, studying across six continents and over 100 exam centres globally. Embarking on professional education can be quite a challenge for students. Some may have been out of formal education for some time and others, new entrants to the shipping industry. The Institute offers subsidised access to the industry's leading qualifications, and has a network of Institute members who teach, mentor and support students every step of the way.

Being the first open evening, it was a great success and should become a regular event on the Institute's calendar.
