Successful Maritime Law Seminar Held in Varna

On 23 April 2026, a seminar dedicated to Maritime Law was successfully held at the Planetarium of the Nikola Vaptsarov Naval Academy, whose excellent facilities provided (unusual, but) an ideal setting for the event.

 

The seminar featured distinguished lecturers, including Miquel Roca, solicitor based in London, and George Filaretov, attorney-at-law from Sofia, who shared valuable insights and practical expertise in the field of maritime law.

 

The event was jointly organized by the Bulgarian Chamber of Shipping, Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers -Bulgaria Branch, and Bulgarian Association of Ship Brokers and Agents.

 

The seminar attracted significant interest from professionals in the maritime industry, as well as members of the legal community. It was conducted in a highly interactive format, with active participation, numerous questions, and engaging discussions throughout the session.

 

The event concluded with very positive feedback from attendees, highlighting both the relevance of the topics discussed and the high level of expertise presented.

 

All the above give us additional motivation to work further to make this events as a tradition for the Maritime community in Bulgaria, and as a useful value added service to ICS-Bulgaria activities in the region.
