Ireland Branch 2017 Annual Dinner & Awards

Friday 29th September saw 120 members and guests of the Institute's Ireland branch gather for the annual dinner and awards evening at Fitzpatricks Killiney Castel Hotel, outside Dublin.

On the evening presentations were made to two Foundation Diploma students,  Six Advanced Diploma students and 8 students who completed their PQE received their Membership Certificates. Well done and congratulations to all. With special awards also being presented to Ms Sarah McGuinness, (IMDO Award) Best ICS Ireland diploma student 2017 and Mr Robert Doolan (Argosea Shipping Award) for Best ICS Ireland Student 2017.

To his great surprise Mr Gordon McMillan FICS was presented with The Sworn Shipbrokers Medal in recognition of his distinguished services to the Institute in Ireland and internationally. The special presentations were made by Mr Theo Coliandris, FICS, Vice Chairman of the Institute.

After dinner guests were entertained by Irish Radio and TV personality Mr. John Creedon.
