The passing of Captain S M A Mahmoodi FICS

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Captain Mahmoodi FICS. Capt. Mahmoodi was first elected to ICS membership in October 1985. Since 2020, he served on the Membership Committee and was recently elected Trustee to the ICS Educational Fund.He also undertook the role of past Chair, current Honorary Secretary and Controlling Council Representative of the Pakistan Branch.

During his many years of dedicated service, Capt. Mahmoodi made many notable contributions to the ICS and to the maritime industry as a whole. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all those who had the pleasure of working with him. Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this difficult time.

We encourage members to share their thoughts and memories of Capt. Mahmoodi as we collectively pay tribute to his remarkable life.
