Middle East Branch invited to the event on Abandoned Cargo

On Sunday April 30th, Al Tamimi and Company had kindly invited the members of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers - Middle East branch to their DIFC office for an event titled Abandoned Cargo: Duties & Liabilities - What should you do?

The event was attended by several of the branch members who were briefed on legal rights of each parties in the case of abandoned cargo.

The event was focused around determining liability for abandoned cargo under different circumstances, steps parties should take - both practical and legal and consideration of available legal remedies. The speakers also spoke on the topic of vessel arrests in the legal systems around the area. Several questions were asked by our members to understand the concepts and the various situations they apply in better.
