Yesterday we held another succesful round of Lectures within the Baltic Exchange and ICS series.

Our fourth lecture topic was centred around financial tools with a particular focus on the financial considerations that principals make and how they can impact decisions and their activity in the physical market.

Looking at finance and common hedges available through FFAs, currency and other related commodity markets, our thought leaders examined common structures in place used by counterparts to limit book uncertainty when trading in volatile markets and how these external factors can influence physical freight market and fixtures.

In London we had the pleasure to host Philippe van den Abeele from Consortium Maritime Trading. Pictures above relate to the London lecture.

The fourth lecture in Athens was really successful and our guest speaker there, Mr Phoebus Kaloudis from AMN Bulk Carriers Inc, gave a great presentation on the complex topic of this round of Baltic and ICS lectures.

The positive feedback received from the participants was extremely encouraging.
