GENCON 2022:

THE STANDARD FORM VOYAGE CHARTERPARTY

ICS AUSNZ WEBINAR 27 05 2022 - ON GENCON 2022 REVISION BANNER

It is always historic, momentous, and epoch-making to recognise a Centenary. This is no less so in the Maritime Industry in which ships are chartered for voyages all over the world and have been for centuries.

2022 marks the Centenary from 1922 when the GENCON Charterparty was adopted and revised by BIMCO. Its forebear may have been the 1876 version of a standard-form voyage charterparty.

BIMCO is a name synonymous with working towards and ensuring Owners and Charterers of ships enter into contracts which are fit for the purpose. These contracts have been ably crafted and published by BIMCO for a hundred years and more.

We are delighted to host experts at the heart of the revision of the GENCON form, John Weale and Grant Hunter, and invite you to join in and learn about the voyage ahead for chartering ships.
