Annual Awards Ceremony of ICS Sri Lanka Branch

Overview

The 'Twenty Eighth Annual Awards Ceremony' of ICS Sri Lanka branch, to felicitate the successful candidates of the ICS examination held in May & November 2021 is scheduled to be held on Friday, 25thMarch 2022 at 6.00 pm at the Cinnamon Lakeside, in Colombo, followed by fellowship and cocktails.

Annual Awards Ceremony of ICS Sri Lanka Branch is an important milestone and an event much looked forward to by the local shipping almanac wherein Certificates, Diplomas, Advanced Diploma and Membership are conferred on the successful candidates who qualified from ICS examinations.

In addition, AAC is an event looked forward to by the local shipping fraternity in its calendar of events. Pinnacle of the event and the evening is the customer service awards for the best shipping line, NVOCC operators and the container depot.

ICS branch through an independent agency carries out a customer services survey amongst the shippers & consignees of the main line operator's agents to ascertain the service levels of the lines in various sectors from Colombo to Europe, USA, Mediterranean, Indian Sub-Continent, Australia etc. Based on the highest points received for each sector by the respective mainline agents, the best customer services awards are presented to the main line agents.

In the same manner awards are presented to the best Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier (NVOCC) on the import & export sector. In the manners the best container depot is chosen and the awards are presented.

Hon. Minister of Ports & Shipping Rohitha Abeygunawardena will grace occasion as the Chief Guest. Keynote speaker would be Mr. Deepal Sooriaarachchi, Management Consultant, Accredited Master Coach & Mentor and Guests of Honour would be Chairman Sri Lanka Ports Authority. Besides, the elite of the Sri Lankan shipping community from CEO, MD to Senior Managers, management of Sri Lanka Ports Authority and the Ministry of Shipping will form the audience besides the award winners.
