Description:

An extensive one-day course providing a comprehensive introduction to the shipping industry including discussion sessions, workshops, group activities, games and multi-media presentations. The day provides participants with plenty of opportunity to ask questions, explore concepts and work through practical cases. Includes free copy of the Institute's 'Introduction to Shipping' coursebook.

Course Leader: Nic Ingle

Nic was the Executive Director of the International Dry Bulk Terminals Group (DBTG) which represents dry bulk terminal operators globally and was previously commercial manager at the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers. He began his career at a grain terminal in the UK before taking up maritime studies at the University of Plymouth where he gained a BSc in Maritime Business and Maritime Law and an MSc in International Shipping and Logistics, and worked at the UK Department for Transport in both maritime and aviation.
