Description:

A comprehensive and practical introduction to Dry Cargo Chartering, this two-day programme includes discussion sessions, workshops, group activities, case studies and multi-media presentations. The course covers: shipping practitioners and sectors; cargoes and trade routes; international trade practice; laytime; bills of lading; time and voyage charterparties; and insurance and claims.

Course Leader: Susan Oatway FICS

Susan is an experienced tutor and regularly lectures on Dry Cargo Chartering and is currently Vice-Chair of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers. Susan started her career at P&O Bulk Shipping, where she held a number of senior planning and commercial roles. She joined Drewry in 1997 and has extensive experience of working for customers in the marine field, including shipping companies, financial institutions and other institutional clients or advisors. This work covers a wide spectrum including market studies, valuations and strategic planning.
