The Baltic Exchange and Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers present a series of lectures in Shanghai, Hong Kong, Singapore, Piraeus and London; intended to support and develop those working in chartering and operations.
Taking place every other month and including lunch where appropriate, lectures are free to employees at Baltic and Institute members. The series is aimed at supporting those developing careers in shipping and encouraging better advocacy across a future generation of industry leaders and is supported by all the major broking houses and a wide cross-section of principals.
In London the lecture on this topic has also been postponed.

Guest Speaker: Mr Aris Koropoulis, Managing Director, Astra Shipmanagement Inc.
Aris Koropoulis is the Managing Director of Astra Shipmanagement Inc, a nine-ship strong outfit which was launched almost six years ago by Aris and his brother Stefanos. Astra Shipmanagement manages bulkers and containerships, and diversified into tankers in 2018.
Before heading up Astra, Aris worked as a Dry Chartering Broker for Eastern Mediterranean Maritime, a Forward Freight Agreement (FFA) Analyst for Paralos Fund and a Dry Chartering Broker for Thenamaris Ship Management Inc. He is a graduate of Brown University, holder of a BA in Business Economics.
