Baltic-ICS-Lecture-Series-3-4 LinkedIn-post

The Baltic Exchange and Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers present a series of lectures in Shanghai, Hong Kong, Singapore, Piraeus and London; intended to support and develop those working in chartering and operations.

Taking place every other month and including lunch where appropriate, lectures are free to employees at Baltic and Institute members. The series is aimed at supporting those developing careers in shipping and encouraging better advocacy across a future generation of industry leaders and is supported by all the major broking houses and a wide cross-section of principals.

Please note that all Baltic Exchange and Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers lectures have been put on hold. We hope to reschedule them later in the year when concern alleviates.

Shipping and the Environment: moving the conversation beyond 2020

As expected, Shipping has cleared the 2020 hurdle without major disruption. In this session, we will cast our vision ahead, and wider, moving on from Sulphur emissions to the other known impacts that shipping has on the environment - and to those that the environment may have on Shipping. We will briefly explore some of the idioms we hear floating around the industry, and the broader political and social spectrum beyond shipping.
