A brief introduction to FFAs (Forward Freight Agreements), what they are, how to apply an Owner's and a Charterer's hedge for freight. The audience will learn the method of freight derivatives in just a few minutes in a very interactive session supported by real examples.

Speaker:

Karina Albers currently practices as a Maritime Arbitrator, Commercial Disputes Mediator and Expert in London, Hamburg, and Singapore. She is an aspiring full member of the London Maritime Arbitrators Association, a member of the German Maritime Arbitration Association, the SCMA and she is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators in London. She also works as a shipping & commodity derivatives consultant and as an expert witness in leading cases in London, New York and Singapore.
