The 2019 ICS Classical Shipping Development Program will be hosted from 31st August to 2nd September in Shanghai. All attendance who completed the Program will be granted with a Certificate which are jointly issued by ICS and the Professional Qualification Authority of Ministry of Transport P. R. China.

With that certificate, you can not only join the ICS networking worldwide, but also be included in the TOP Shipping Professional Database of Professional Qualification Authority of Ministry of Transport P.R. China. Aside from that, you can also join the TOP Shipping Professional Database of China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone.

A scholarship will be set up jointly by ICS and PQA of Ministry of Transport for the BEST CANDIDATE of the Program. Furthermore, the BEST CANDIDATE will have the opportunity to fly to London and enjoy the Networking with worldwide shipping experts there.

Speakers

Ms Susan Oatway FICS, the Vice Chair of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers.

Susan joined Drewry in 1997 after spending eight years in senior planning and analyst with P&O Bulk Shipping. With Drewry she has extensive experience of working for customers in the marine field, including shipping companies, financial institutions and other institutional clients or advisors. Susan was the Director of Drewry during 1997 to 2005, she is also the Editor of Drewry's Annual Multipurpose Report and co-author of Reefer Shipping, and provides advice to other team members on all aspects of dry bulk shipping.

Dr. Fan Wei, Vice President of Skuld Far East

He joined Skuld P&I Club in January 2008 and experienced at complicated P&I and FDD matters. Previously he worked in a law firm in China. His professional qualifications include being a PRC lawyer, LLB and LLM from Dali an Mari ti me University, PhD in Law from the University of Exeter UK. Dr. Fan published 'The Measurement of Damages in Carriage of Goods by Sea - A Comparative Study of English and Chinese Law' (pub Ii shed by Beijing Law Press)

Ms. Rita Lau, Vice President, Head of FDD Skuld Hong Kong, experienced in handling P&I and FDD cases; Qualified Hong Kong solicitor since 1999; Certified CEDR Mediator.

Mr. Ji Wen Yuan, Chairman of Shanghai Seamaster Shipbroking Company; Visiting Professor of SMU.  Shipping Advisor of Shanghai Municipal Transport and Port Authority. During his 20 years in the Shipping Industry, Mr. Ji has worked as Chartering Manager of COSCO Shanghai and COSBULK, Vice President of Parakou Shipping Limited, etc.
