The Idol Thief - Mr Vijay Kumar's experience in penning a non-fiction and how two decades in commercial shipping helped him uncover the network that is running a thriving business stealing antiquities from India.

 

The talk will feature rare insights into how lax procedures not just in India but in port and customs at entry and exit ports and also in transit points is aiding this illicit network.

Idol Thief - Mr Vijay Kumar

Mr Vijay is a Fellow of the Cost and Management Accountants of India and Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers London (UK). He hails from Chennai but moved to Singapore in 2006 to head Mediterranean shipping company - a world-leading container liner shipping company overseeing their landside operations in South East Asia as General Manager. Learn more
