The Singapore Branch is delighted to invite you to the next Branch talk on 7^th December 2017 at 6:30pm at the Singapore Shipping Association.

The talk will help demystify the Block Chain. Do you want to know how Blockchain is going to transform the shipping industry? Wait no further!

Attendees will get a better understanding of various blockchain implementations and the frameworks to assess if Blockchain as a technology can fit well into their business. In addition, they will also learn how they can best maximize their business value with Blockchain.

IBM will also be showcasing Blockchain business benefits, taking a deep dive into the supply chain/ shipping used cases. This session is highly recommended for business leaders and people in the shipping industry.

Speaker's Profile

Mr Ong Khai Wei is the Client Technical Leader in IBM ASEAN and he has been with IBM since 2008. Mr Ong focuses on helping both startups and enterprises in technical solution architecture and design of applications towards cloud platform via IBM Cloud platform across multiple technologies - Web, Mobile, Internet of Things (IoT), DevOps, Blockchain

Particularly in Blockchain, Mr Ong has been actively enabling enterprises and start ups on this technology - Hyperledger Fabric, which IBM Blockchain is on and with use cases spanning across different industries eg Healthcare, Supply chain Food safety, Financial transactions and its technical architecture. He has been instrumental in the several projects of Blockchain that the IBM Blockchain Garage has embarked on.
