There are five airports which service London. The closest are:

City Airport (LCY)

Public transport. London City Airport is directly connected with a fast Docklands Light Railway - DLR - service linking to London's Underground and national rail stations.

Gatwick Airport (LGW)

Public transport. Gatwick Express is the fastest way into Central London. Trains run every 15 minutes between Gatwick Airport's South Terminal and London Victoria Station every day from 5am to 00.30am. The journey time is 30 minutes and the service is non-stop to Victoria station. For trains times and fares please visit: www.thetrainline.com

Heathrow Airport (LHR)

Public transport. The Heathrow Express Train takes 15 minutes from Terminals 2 and 3, and 21 minutes from Terminal 5 into Paddington Station where underground links can be used to get around London. For trains times and fares please visit: www.heathrowexpress.com

The airport is directly connected to the London Underground network.

Taxi services run from all airports. Duration and costs vary and may be impacted by traffic. Expect to pay between £50 and £90, more for a private hire or chauffeur service.

London has fast trains from major airports into the centre of the city and its underground is fast (outside of rush hour) and easy to navigate. We recommend the use of public transport to/from your chosen airport and are happy to offer any assistance and advice.
