"LOI for Dummies": This presentation will discuss on Letters of Indemnities commonly used in Shipping and International Trade. The focus of the talk would be to review the practices prevalent in the trade and the resultant downsides if something were to go wrong.

M Jagannath FICS, Director, NAU Pte Ltd

Jagan is the founder of NAU Pte Ltd, a claims consultancy / correspondent firm involved in handling various types of maritime / shipping claims and disputes.

Jagan is a shipping practitioner sitting on the other side of the fence. He specializes in shipping practice, international trade & transport and marine insurance and advises clients in dealing with various types of issues / disputes / claims in and around the region. He is both an accredited Arbitrator and Mediator and is involved both as an Arbitrator / Mediator and as a consultant to clients who are involved in Arbitrations / Mediations.

Jagan is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers, Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, Singapore Institute of Arbitrators and an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute, Singapore Insurance Institute, Associate Member of the Association of Average Adjusters UK & Associate Mediator with the Singapore Mediation Centre.
